Codebreaker HUD Battery Monitor FAQs
What batteries does the Codebreaker HUD Battery Monitor work with?
The transmitter is designed for 12V lead-acid batteries. For a lithium battery, use the Ultimate9 Bluetooth Lithium Battery Monitor.
Does the display project onto the windscreen?
No. The monitor is a backlit monochrome LCD screen that sticks to your dash, where you can read it at a glance. It can be removed easily when you need to.
How is this different from the Ultimate9 Bluetooth Battery Monitor?
The Codebreaker shows your battery readings on its own dash-mounted screen, sent wirelessly from a transmitter on the battery. The Ultimate9 Bluetooth Battery Monitor sends readings to an app on your phone instead, and stores 31 days of history.
What does it display?
Battery voltage, power, temperature and overall health, in real time. An alarm sounds automatically if any reading is abnormal.
How is the dash monitor powered?
It has a built-in 750mAh lithium battery, kept charged by a solar panel on top of the unit. When there isn't enough sun, you can charge it through its USB-C port (5V) with the included cable. It powers on and off automatically.
Will the transmitter drain my vehicle battery?
The transmitter draws an average of 2.3mA.
How is it installed?
The transmitter connects directly to your vehicle battery's terminals, and the monitor sticks to your dash. If you'd prefer it fitted, our Sunbury workshop can install it. Call 1300 12 13 12 for availability and pricing.
What temperatures can it handle?
The battery transmitter works from -40°C to 80°C. The dash monitor works from -20°C to 70°C and can be stored from -30°C to 80°C.
