Shipping & Delivery
Q: Do you offer free shipping?
Answer: Yes, we offer free shipping on orders over $200 to eligible locations within Australia. Upon checkout, your suburb will determine if you qualify for free shipping. Some regional or remote areas may incur a surcharge, which is calculated before you finalise your order.
Q: How long does delivery take?
Answer: Delivery times vary by location. Metro areas typically receive orders within 2-4 business days once dispatched. Regional WA may take 4-7 business days. Orders are usually dispatched within 1-2 business days of payment. You will receive a tracking number once your order is shipped.
Q: Who delivers my exhaust system?
Answer: We use Direct Freight for most exhaust deliveries due to their size and weight. Smaller items are sent via Australia Post. You will receive tracking information once your order is dispatched, which typically becomes active from 4pm onwards on the day of dispatch.
Q: Can I track my order?
Answer: Yes, you will receive a tracking number via email or SMS once your order is dispatched. For Direct Freight deliveries, you can track your order on the Direct Freight website. Please note tracking information typically becomes active from 4pm onwards on the dispatch day.
Q: Do you ship to New Zealand?
Answer: We do offer shipping to New Zealand with a minimum $199 to cover the airfreight rates. If you require delivery to NZ, you can select the country option in the calculator on the product page to see freight costs and at checkout once you have entered the specific delivery address.
Click and Collect / Store Pickup
Q: Can I pick up my order in person?
Answer: Yes, we offer click and collect from our Sunbury location. A prior appointment must be made before arrival. Please call 1300 12 13 12 to arrange a collection time. Orders placed before 10am can often be ready for same-day pickup.
Q: What is your pickup address?
Answer: Our warehouse and pickup location is at 1 Bubeck Street, Sunbury VIC 3429. We are located approximately 40km north-west of Melbourne CBD.
Q: What are your opening hours?

Q: How quickly can my order be ready for pickup?
Answer: Most orders placed before 10am can be ready for same-day pickup. Orders placed later in the day or requiring back-ordered items will typically be ready the following business day. We will notify you when your order is ready for collection.
Returns and Refunds
Q: What is your returns policy?
Answer: Items can be returned for a refund provided they are in brand new, unmarked condition with original packaging. Returns must be initiated within 30 days of purchase. Return shipping costs are paid by the buyer unless the return is due to our error. A handling fee may apply and will be deducted from your refund. Please read our full returns policy for more details. Return shipping costs and handling fees apply to change-of-mind returns only; they do not apply to faulty items. Exhaust components that have been fitted, test-fitted or marked cannot be returned for change of mind.
Q: How do I return an item?
Answer: To return an item, ship it to our warehouse at 1 Bubeck Street, Sunbury VIC 3429. Include a note with your order number, contact details, purchase date, and reason for return. All items are inspected upon receipt before a refund is processed.
Q: Can I exchange my exhaust for a different configuration?
Answer: Yes, exchanges are possible. However, given the return shipping costs involved, it may be more economical to purchase the correct item separately and keep both, especially for smaller components. Contact us to discuss the best option for your situation.
Q: What if I receive a faulty or damaged item?
Answer: If you receive a faulty or damaged item, please contact us immediately with photos of the issue. We will arrange a replacement or refund. For warranty claims on Ignite Exhausts products, contact us and we will guide you through the warranty process.
Warranty Information
Q: What warranty do Ignite Exhausts products come with?
Answer: Ignite Exhausts 409 stainless steel systems carry a 10-year warranty and aluminised mild steel systems a 2-year warranty against defects in materials and manufacture. Warranty terms and exclusions apply, including for incorrect installation and impact damage. Read the full warranty terms. These are in addition to your rights under the Australian Consumer Law.
Q: What is the difference between aluminised steel and stainless steel exhausts?
Answer: Aluminised mild steel is a cost-effective option with good corrosion resistance, backed by a 2-year warranty. 409 grade stainless steel is our premium option, offering superior heat and corrosion resistance with a 10-year warranty. Both materials produce the same sound characteristics. The stainless range features a black coating and comes with 4-bolt flanges.
Q: Why is the stainless steel exhaust black?
Answer: Our 409 stainless steel exhaust systems are coated black as a premium finish. This is normal and part of the product design. The black coating provides additional protection while maintaining the durability benefits of 409 stainless steel. Over time, heat and road conditions may cause the coating to wear or discolour and the stainless steel beneath to show light surface oxidation. This is normal and does not affect the durability of the system.

Product Specifications and Sound
Q: Which exhaust configuration is quietest?
Answer: For the quietest option, choose a system with a muffler. Our mufflers feature a straight-through design that minimises restriction while keeping the exhaust note minimal - ideal for towing and daily driving. For DPF-equipped vehicles, a DPF-back system with muffler will maintain near-stock sound levels.
Q: How do I avoid exhaust drone when towing?
Answer: To minimise drone when towing, we recommend choosing an exhaust system with a cat and muffler for our non DPF 4x4 systems. A cat-back system with both middle and rear muffler is a popular choice for vehicles like the Nissan Patrol Y62 to achieve a good note without the drone.
Q: What is the loudest exhaust option?
Answer: The loudest configuration is a straight-through system with no cat and no muffler (pipe only). On DPF-equipped vehicles, the factory DPF absorbs much of the exhaust note. A DPF-back system gives a noticeable but moderate improvement in sound while keeping your factory emissions equipment in place. For the most sound from a DPF-back setup, choose a larger diameter system with a hotdog instead of a muffler.
Our DPF delete and race pipe products are sold for off-road and competition use only. Removing or tampering with emissions control equipment on a registered vehicle driven on public roads is illegal in Australia. It may also affect your registration, roadworthiness, insurance and new vehicle warranty. Straight-through and no-muffler systems may exceed road vehicle noise limits. The owner is responsible for making sure their vehicle complies with the laws in their state or territory.
Q: What is the difference between a hotdog and a muffler?
Answer: A hotdog (also called a resonator) provides moderate sound reduction while maintaining an aggressive exhaust note. A muffler offers maximum sound reduction for the quietest option. Both use straight-through designs to avoid restriction. Cat and hotdog together is louder than cat and muffler.
Q: Do you have sound videos for your exhausts?
Answer: We have limited sound videos available for some vehicle applications. Please contact us via chat or phone and we can check if we have footage for your specific vehicle. Note that sound gains on bi-turbo diesel engines are very limited compared to single-turbo variants.
Q: Where are your exhausts manufactured?
Answer: All of Playtime Auto Parts exhaust systems are manufactured right here at our premises in Melbourne with locally sourced raw materials. Our 409 stainless steel exhaust systems are backed by a 10-year warranty and our aluminised mild steel systems by a 2-year warranty.
Q: Do your exhausts have an EGT Pyrometer fitting?
Answer: Yes, all of our Ignite Exhaust 4x4 and Performance range has a 1/8” fitting installed.
Vehicle Fitment and Compatibility
Q: Will this exhaust fit my vehicle?
Answer: Our exhausts are designed to be direct bolt-on replacements using factory mounting points and rubber hangers. Please ensure you select the correct vehicle make, model, year range, and engine variant. Contact us on 1300 12 13 12 if you are unsure about compatibility, especially if you have aftermarket accessories like long-range fuel tanks, upgraded suspension, or larger spare tyres.
Q: Does the exhaust fit both single cab and dual cab?
Answer: Most of our exhaust systems suit both single and dual cab variants of the same vehicle platform. However, some specific configurations (like 4-inch side exit) may only suit certain cab styles. Please check the product listing or contact us to confirm fitment for your specific vehicle.
Q: Will I need to modify my vehicle to fit the exhaust?
Answer: Our Ignite Exhausts are designed as direct bolt-on replacements for standard vehicles, using factory mounting points and, where specified, factory fasteners. Vehicles with lift kits, long-range tanks, larger spare tyres or other aftermarket changes may need clearance checks or minor adjustment. Please do not cut, weld or modify the system; contact us first if it does not appear to fit.
Q: Does the turbo back exhaust include a dump pipe?
Answer: Yes, turbo back exhaust systems include all piping from the turbocharger to the rear of the vehicle, including the dump pipe section. DPF-back systems start after the DPF and do not include dump pipe sections.
Q: What is the difference between turbo back and DPF back?
Answer: A turbo back system replaces the entire exhaust from the turbocharger outlet. On DPF-equipped vehicles, turbo back options without a DPF are for off-road and competition use only. A DPF back system connects after your factory DPF, keeping it in place, and replaces everything from that point to the rear. DPF back is the recommended upgrade for road-registered DPF vehicles as it retains the factory emissions equipment. All systems must still meet road noise requirements in your state.
Installation and Technical Support
Q: Where can I find fitting instructions?
Answer: Fitting instructions are available on our website via QR code included with your exhaust. If instructions for your specific vehicle are not available, please contact us and we can provide them via email. Most Ignite Exhausts are designed for straightforward bolt-on installation using factory mounting points.
Q: Do you offer exhaust fitting services?
Answer: Yes, we can install exhaust systems at our Sunbury location. Installation costs vary by system complexity. We do not install snorkels. For customers outside Victoria, we recommend finding a local exhaust shop or mechanic to complete the installation.
Q: Can you fit my exhaust?
Answer: Yes, here at Playtime Auto Parts we have a fully operational workshop capable of fitting your purchased item. Call us on 1300 12 13 12 to arrange a booking.
Q: Do I need to retune my vehicle after fitting the exhaust?
Answer: No. Our road-use systems are designed to work with your vehicle's factory tune without ECU remapping. Off-road/competition DPF delete systems may trigger fault codes and require ECU changes; these are not suitable for registered vehicles used on public roads, and fault codes or tuning outcomes are not covered by our warranty.
Q: The exhaust is touching/vibrating - what should I do?
Answer: First, check that all rubber hangers are correctly installed and not stretched or damaged. Ensure the muffler is oriented correctly (offset towards the middle of the vehicle). Loosen all bolts, align the system, then tighten from front to back. If issues persist, worn rubber hangers may need replacement.
Q: Do your exhausts come with gaskets and hardware?
Answer: Yes, our systems include the gaskets and hardware required for installation. Some installations reuse factory bolts, nuts or gaskets, which is noted in the fitting instructions for your vehicle. Please check all parts against the packing list before starting, and contact us immediately if anything is missing.
Payment and Pricing
Q: Are the prices of items negotiable?
Answer: We do offer discounted freight for multiple items purchased on selected items only.
Q: Why has the price of the item changed?
Answer: Prices are subject to change without notice. This includes all items which may have been subject to a promotional sale.
