Enhance Your 70 Series Landcruiser with the Manta 3" Exhaust System
The 1VD V8 4.5L common rail turbo diesel engine in the current 70 Series Landcruiser has earned a reputation for being a robust off-roader, offering lorry-like power and an impressive amount of torque from the outset. However, the Landcruiser's potential is somewhat curtailed by the restrictive standard Toyota exhaust that comes with it.
The standard exhaust, which narrows to as small as 1 & 7/8_ and runs through a diesel particulate filter (DPF) and baffled muffler, muffles the sound of the V8 engine. The installation of a Manta 3" exhaust system can significantly change this. With full 3" piping, extending from either the turbo face or the DPF to the tail, this system is available in various configurations. This allows you to maintain an exhaust note close to the factory level, opt for a wild, unmuffled V8 roar, or find a happy medium in between.
Introducing the Twin 3" Tailpipe and 4" Extreme Versions
For the ultimate in aesthetics and sound, we now offer our twin 3" tailpipe version. If you already have a Manta exhaust, this upgrade is available as a simple bolt-on to your existing exhaust system! Additionally, our long-awaited 4" system, the Extreme version, is now available. This offers the loudest possible note and maximum flow.
Benefits of Upgrading to a 3" Exhaust System
Replacing the standard exhaust with a 3" version offers numerous benefits, including reduced turbo lag, improved peak power and torque, greater responsiveness, and reduced fuel consumption. On average, we see a 15% gain in power and around 1 Ð 2L per 100km reduction in fuel consumption (with a full exhaust and tune).
The full 3" exhaust is consistently rated as the best performance modification for the V8 Landcruiser, not only for the glorious sound it releases but also for the significant improvement in driveability. Many dealers are fitting them on brand new vehicles Ð don't miss out on this
