Redback Exhausts — FAQs
What’s included in a Redback system?
Most kits include vehicle-specific front/mid pipes, muffler or resonator (model-dependent), tailpipe section(s), required clamps/mounts/hangers and gaskets. Exact contents vary by vehicle/engine and are listed on each product page.
Is it bolt-on, or do I need welding?
Redback systems are designed as bolt-on replacements that use factory mounting points. No welding is typically required. Basic hand tools are sufficient, but professional installation is recommended if you’re unsure.
What material options are available?
Most systems are offered in aluminised steel (great value) or 409 stainless steel (greater corrosion resistance; may form a protective surface patina). Check the product page to confirm material for your vehicle.
Is it road-legal and will it affect emissions?
Compliance depends on your local regulations and the specific vehicle. Where a vehicle is equipped with a catalytic converter and/or DPF, these must be retained for road use. Always verify noise/emissions rules in your state before modifying your exhaust.
